We have built state-of-art laboratories for Math, Science and Social Studies. Each of these labs is equipped with a variety of print, audio and video materials and subject-relevant equipment to allow for an experiential learning process, at a pace suitable to each child’s abilities. During lab hours, the students are supervised and assisted by qualified technicians and subject facilitators.
In the Math Lab, students have access to a custom-made, adaptive learning system called Mindspark that is designed to make mastering math both fun and goal-oriented. Loaded on all 30 of the laboratory’s computers, the adaptive logic of the program gauges the child’s learning level and assesses knowledge gaps and the grasp of concepts through finely graded questions of varied difficulty levels. It allows each student to proceed at his or her own pace, depending on the existing comfort level of a particular concept. This program is a storehouse of virtually unlimited, individualised practice sessions and being internet-based, offers children the flexibility to solve problems from the comfort of their homes.
The various Science Labs, Physics, Chemistry and Biology are fitted with a wide range of tools, instruments and apparatus that are essential to perform a variety of basic to advanced physics, chemistry and biology experiments. All the experiments are monitored by experienced technicians and conducted under safe and controlled conditions.
The Social Studies Lab encourages hand-on, enquiry-based learning through regular activities like 3D model building, group discussions and specialist interactions related to the classroom session. The students’ lab and project work is kept on display here
The Language Lab for enhancing listening, speaking skills is an added facility used by primary school .
The Junior activity room allows the teacher a cozy space to open the windows of Social Sciences by demonstrating simple experiments to little children and creating models with children
The Deens Academy has three libraries (The Main library, The Junior library and KiDeens Library) that houses over 15,000 educational and recreational books as well as other multimedia resources for both, the students and staff, to access. The spacious, airy library has been designed to foster an interest in books and is intended to offer every child the opportunity to explore and develop his or her individual interests.
Large tables and comfortable chairs double up as worktables and the library invariably becomes a hub for all projects done by the students. Each library stacks age appropriate books which the children enjoy reading at school and borrowing it to complete it at home.
The library uses an integrated management system that ensures efficient day-to-day running, circulation and inventory management.
