With over 15 years of expertise in early childhood, primary, and secondary school instruction, Dr. Sita Nanduri is a knowledgeable and pragmatic educator and school leader. Her extensive practical experience spans various roles, providing valuable insights while educating children of different age groups.
Dr. Sita Nanduri holds a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from the University of Mumbai and a Bachelor’s in Education. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Education.
Dr. Sita holds an international diploma for teachers and trainers from the prestigious Cambridge University. She has completed the Teacher Training Program and The HEAD LAMP training (for school leaders) conducted by The Teachers Training Foundation (Bangalore). She is also a trained Montessori facilitator, a certified Cambridge Exams Officer, and a certified trainer (Global Competency Certification) with AFS Intercultural Programs Inc. Additionally, she has completed her Cambridge IGCSE extension for Biology.
She began her career as a dentist and also worked for the Department of Child and Foster Services in DuPage County, Illinois, USA, before transitioning into education.
Dr. Nanduri started her education career in the Science department at Deens Academy, a leading CBSE school in Bangalore, since its inception in 2006. She quickly assumed leadership roles, which she held for over a decade across various branches of the school. She collaborated closely with the founding team to establish the necessary infrastructure and resources for the science laboratories and was instrumental in developing digital resources as the concept was emerging in the market. Her focus was on providing experiential learning through simple yet effective techniques.
Dr. Nanduri continues her research in modern pedagogical techniques and has been actively involved in training sessions for teachers within and outside Deens Academy.
During a brief hiatus from her education career, she worked as a Senior Business Consultant in Executive Leadership Coaching at Valluri Technology Accelerators Pvt. Ltd. In this role, she was the key coordinator supporting the development of a software application for internal and external stakeholders.
Returning to education, Dr. Nanduri mentored a state board school during its inception in 2021 where she established systems and process. Within a few months, she was appointed Headmistress of Valistus International School, Whitefield-A Cambridge Pathway School. At Valistus, she used her extensive experience and management skills to recruit, train, and motivate a team during the challenging pandemic years. During her tenure the school was recognized as the “Best Upcoming International School in Whitefield” in 2022. She was also part of the training, implementation, and periodic upgrading of Cambridge and other new systems, ensuring the school received necessary certifications in its early days.
Dr. Nanduri then joined School Serv, a consulting firm for schools, as Head of Academics for their ongoing projects. In this role, she served as Head of School for a new Cambridge/IGCSE institution in Sarjapur. Under her leadership, the school was awarded 5th place in the ‘Times Upcoming IGCSE Schools’ category and was recognized by Education Today in the India School Merit Awards 2023-24 as one of the ‘Dynamic Schools of the Year’. Dr. Sita Nanduri was also shortlisted by Women Entrepreneur Review Magazine as one of the “Top 10 Best Women Leaders from International Schools in Bangalore – 2024”.
Dr. Sita’s focus is to create a stimulating educational environment that encompasses all learning styles, offering each learner the opportunity to engage and excel in the manner that suits them best.
